Companion (5 sentence fiction)

She stood in the darkness waiting for vultures to pay price to savour her flesh while most of her colleagues waited under the lamp-posts or in well-lit bus-stops to bait easy preys.  Her nocturnal senses were heightened to the extent that she could feel carnal desire in men from a distance and she would lure them accordingly while she encapsulated herself in the shroud of darkness. Her guilt and feeling of unworthiness would acquiesce with the serenity of darkness and it is darkness which would hold her pinky to guide her through the maze of her confusion. She would shed her inhibitions in the darkness to try tricks to please her customers and darkness as her companion would never be judgemental, critic or opinionated. Her pseudo-euphoria would soon be evaded at the crack of dawn when her companion would desert her ruthlessly for another half a day.
